The couple have three children together, namely 15-year-old Xavier, 14-year-old Ella-Grace, and 9-year-old Hadrien.

According to an official statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Trudeaus have already finalized a legal separation agreement.
The statement emphasized that despite their separation, they will remain a united family and continue to be actively involved in their children’s lives.

The love story of Justin Trudeau and Sophie Grégoire began in their childhood.
They initially knew each other when Sophie was in the same primary class as Justin’s brother.

Their bond grew stronger over time, culminating in their marriage in 2005.
This separation makes Justin Trudeau the first sitting Prime Minister to experience such an event since his parents’ split in 1977.
During that time, then-Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau’s wife, Margaret, left him and their three sons to relocate to New York City.
