The original trophy was crafted by Tiffany & Co. in Newark, New Jersey, and subsequent trophies have been handcrafted by the company in Parsippany and Cumberland, New Jersey. Today, the trophy is created at the Tiffany & Co. Forest Hill manufacturing facility in Cumberland, Rhode Island.

Initially, the Lombardi Trophy was presented inside the winning team’s locker room. However, since Super Bowl XXX in 1996, the presentation takes place on the field and is handed to the owner of the winning team. After the Super Bowl, the trophy is returned to Tiffany’s for engraving with the names of the participating teams, the date, location, and the game’s final score.
