Tori Kelly, the two-time Grammy-winning singer known for her soulful voice and hit songs like “Should’ve Been Us” and “Nobody Love,” recently faced a health scare. She was rushed to Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles after collapsing while out with friends.

Tori Kelly was admitted to the hospital on Sunday night for treatment of blood clots found near her vital organs. The singer collapsed and experienced a concerning episode, prompting immediate medical attention. She is currently undergoing treatment and observation at Cedars-Sinai.

From a young age, Tori Kelly displayed her musical talents on platforms like “Star Search” and “America’s Most Talented Kids.” Her journey to fame continued as she auditioned for “American Idol” in 2010, showcasing her exceptional vocal abilities. Although her time on the show was cut short, she persisted in sharing her music with the world.

Tori Kelly’s musical career took off when she started posting acoustic performances on YouTube. Her raw talent and heartfelt renditions quickly gained attention, leading to a contract with Capitol Records in 2013. Her debut EP, “Foreword,” was released the same year, followed by her debut studio album, “Unbreakable Smile,” in 2015, which achieved significant success.

Kelly’s outstanding musical abilities earned her a nomination for Best New Artist at the 58th Grammy Awards. Although she didn’t win that category, her contributions to the gospel genre were celebrated in 2019 when she received two Grammy Awards for Best Gospel Album and Best Gospel Performance/Song for “Hiding Place” and “Never Alone” with Kirk Franklin, respectively.

Not just limited to music, Tori Kelly has also ventured into the world of acting. She lent her voice to the character Meena in the animated film “Sing” in 2016, showcasing her versatile talents beyond the recording studio. She reprised the role in the sequel, “Sing 2,” in 2021.

Despite the health setback, Tori Kelly is staying resilient and dedicated to her art. Her new EP, titled “Tori,” is scheduled for release on July 28. Fans eagerly await this new chapter in her musical journey.
