Carlos Alcaraz Defeats Matteo Berrettini in Comeback Win at Wimbledon

Carlos Alcaraz, the world No. 1, came from a set down to defeat Matteo Berrettini in the fourth round of Wimbledon on Monday, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3.

The Spaniard was slow to start the match, but he raised his level in the second set and broke Berrettini’s serve twice to take the lead.

The Italian started complaining about the lack of light in the fourth set, but Alcaraz was not affected and broke serve again to close out the match.

Alcaraz’s win sets up a quarterfinal clash with fellow 20-year-old Holger Rune.

The two players have never met before, but Rune is a dangerous opponent with a powerful serve and forehand.
